The central court at the WTA Makarska Open hosted by Valamar was reserved today for the Croatian derby between two Petras - Marčinko and Martić. The more experienced Petra Martić celebrated with two times of 6:4.
Of the seven Croatian tennis players at the WTA Makarska Open, Petra Martić, Lea Bošković and Lucija Ćirić Bagarić continue, while Antonia Ružić, the injured Tena Lukas, Petra Marčinko and Sara Svetac unfortunately lost their matches despite their excellent play.
The day was opened by Antonija Ružić, who was defeated by qualifier Maya Joint. The Australian played a great match and won convincingly 6:1, 6:1.
After Ružić, Lea Bošković entered the court, who defeated the Ukrainian Valeriya Strakhova 2:1 in sets. In sets it was 4:6, 6:3, 6:2.
