A sunny day in Makarska, ideal for tennis, brought many quality matches, but also one sad news. Unfortunately, Croatia was left without a representative after Ana Konjuh surrendered her match to the Italian Jasmine Paolini.

Ana had a lot of problems with injuries throughout her career, we hope that it is not something serious, we wish her a speedy recovery.

First seed Czech Linda Noskova lost to great French tennis player Diana Parry 2:1 in sets (6:1, 6:7, 3:6), while Egyptian tennis player Mayar Sheriff was better than Chinese Yuan 2:0 (6 :3, 7:6).

In the last match of the day, Ukrainian Kateryna Baindl was defeated by Slovakian Rebecca Sramkova after a long battle that lasted more than three hours. In the end, Sramkova won with 2:1, in sets it was 6:7, 7:5, 5:7.

The atmosphere in the stands of the Makarska Tennis Center is great, so the tennis players enjoyed great support from the stands today.

Tomorrow, starting at 3:30 p.m., the singles semifinal matches are scheduled, and at 7:30 p.m., the doubles final, in which the Czechs Anna Sisková and Renata Voráčová will play against the Estonian Ingrid Neel and the Taiwanese tennis player Fang Hsien Wu.
