WTA Croatia Bol Open 2021 Day 4: On the fifth day we will watch the four best tennis players

The four best players reached the semi-finals of the WTA tournament in Bol

In the semi-finals of the WTA 125k tournament in Bol, Italian Jasmine Paolini and Russian Ana Blinkova, as well as Dutch Arantxa Rus and Romanian Irina Bara will play.

Paolini was better than Slovakia's Kristina Kučova in the quarterfinals with 6: 1, 6: 1, while Blinkova defeated Austrian Barbara Haas with 6: 4, 4: 6, 7: 5. Second seed, Dutchwoman Aratxa Rus was on the brink of relegation against young American Claire Liu, the world’s first junior in 2017 when she won junior Wimbledon. The girl also played in the finals of the junior Roland Garros, but the Russian managed to fight her off in the quarterfinals. The American had a set and 5: 4, but the experience and patience of the 30 year old Dutchwoman eventually brought her a pass (1: 6, 7: 5, 6: 4).

"It was very difficult, but in the end I managed to find the strength to turn things around", the excited Russian told us.

Irina Bara was also on the edge, but the patient and combative Romanian beat Martina Trevisan 2: 6, 7: 5, 6: 0. Bara played almost perfectly against Tena Lukas in the second round of the WTA tournament in Bol. She is excellent in defense and counterattacks. She is not a destroyer, but when it's her day, with patience and diversity she comes to great results.

Rus and Bara have played only once in their careers, this year in Bogotá and Rus won.
