On May the 13th, at the Zagreb hotel Dubrovnik official press conference with the announcements about the upcoming WTA tournament in Bol was held. Tournament director, Feliks Lukas, has presented the list of players participating this year. This year WTA Croatian Bol Open will host many well-known names from women's tennis, including Sara Sorribes Tormo, Rebecca Peterson, Bernanda Pera, Eugenie Bouchard, Arantxa Rus, Jana Fett, Ana Konjuh and Nadia Podoroska. In 2021 CBO tournament the best ranked tennis players from Sweden, Netherlands, Belgium, Slovakia, Montenegro, Italy, Russia and China will participate, among whom stand out previous CBO finalist and winners Mandy Minella, Aleksandra Krunić i Tamara Zidanšek.
At the conference, Croatian Fed Cup representatives Jana Fett and Ana Konjuh pointed out that Croatia Bol Open is one of their favorite tournaments. Both players are delighted with Bol and the whole tournament organization, so they have high expectations from this season.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this year's tournament will be held under strict epidemiological measures which includes testing of all the players upon arrival and five days later, same as all the others who are in direct contact with them.
Director of the tournament, Feliks Lukas, emphasized that the upcoming WTA Croatia Bol Open will be a combination of sports and arts. This year, tournament visitors will be able to enjoy the opening of the Dominican Monastery Museum, and Bol will be visited by most famous photographers in the world - Jadran Lazić and Čedo Komljenović.
Despite of all difficulties and challenges due to current situation, Feliks Lukas announced the greatest edition of the WTA Croatia Bol Open tournament yet.
